Every week at Neighbors’ tells its own little story — a mix of late-night roasts, friendly hellos across the counter, and the kind of moments that remind us why we built this place in the first place. Here’s what unfolded around the shop last week.
🌅 A Busy Week with the Release of Our Winter Menu
The shop felt alive last week — from weekday regulars grabbing cappuccinos on the run to Saturday lines that always seem to turn into little pockets of neighborly chatter.
We saw familiar faces bringing friends along, and a few first-timers quickly becoming part of the family (the “second visit within 48 hours” crew — we see you).
✨ Small Menu Wins
We spent last week dialing in our seasonal updates, and the team absolutely crushed it:
-
The Mint Mocha Latte was the unexpected star — shaken over ice, minty, and fresh.
-
Our tea beverages saw a big boost in popularity — especially the Ho-ho-Hojicha, topped with that coconut cream foam everyone fell in love with.
-
Pour-over fans loved the Nicaragua Carbonic Maceration, which has been tasting incredibly sweet and balanced.
-
We also introduced our new pour-over sipping cups for in-shop orders.
-
-
We featured Rise Artisan Sourdough bagels, which were a hit and will return again this week.
👋 Team Moments We Loved
The team showed up with so much energy last week. A few highlights:
-
We hosted a team meeting on Tuesday, where everyone tasted the winter menu and learned how to build each drink (thank you, Dani!).
-
We ended the night with a team cupping of 10 coffees from roasters around the world — continuing to develop our palettes one cup at a time.
-
We watched new customers get greeted by name on their second visit — the magic of this crew.
-
A few baristas stepped up and dialed in espresso faster, jumping confidently into weekend drink-building.
-
Staff favorites ranged from the Caramel Sage Latte to the Baltimore Fog to classic pour-overs — but the real winner was the teamwork during the weekend rush.
Neighbors’ is what it is because of the people behind the bar — and last week was a perfect reminder of that.
🛠️ Behind the Scenes
Even after the shop closed, the work continued. Behind the scenes last week included:
-
Sampling new coffees from Colombia, including a honey-processed Red Bourbon we’re very excited about. We hope to offer it soon once we get it in larger quantities.
-
Running quality control on our single-origin Swiss Water Process decaf from Nicaragua.
-
We tested a slightly longer development time — and loved the results.
-
We’re building, refining, improving — one small step at a time.
🌤️ Looking Ahead
This week, we’re preparing to:
-
Get ready for our next Neighbors’ 5K Run on Saturday, December 20th.
-
Continue rounding out our Small Bites menu.
We can’t wait to welcome you back in, pour your morning coffee, and hear about your week too.
Thanks for being part of Neighbors’.
Every cup you order helps us grow, learn, and keep creating a space where people truly know each other.
See you again soon — your spot at the counter is waiting.
